Safety come first when it relates to experiment. Very often accidents happen in science laboratories because of the lack of safety precautions although it can be prevented before. However, the experiment itself sometimes is not entirely safe for replication in school laboratories or in homes. So that, parents and teachers should still encourage safety experiment in every science project.

In a science laboratory, students have to wear lab coats no matter how many fun and easy science experiments is. It is done to prevent them from spilling anything potentially dangerous on their clothes, and it also saves their clothes from getting stained. Lab coat has extra protection and extra protection layer to prevent any chemical touch the skin. Latex gloves are sometimes required. When doing experiments at home, encourage your children to also wear lab coats or at least kitchen aprons to protect their bodies.

Consider protective goggles as safety device that students should have. It looks like huge clear sunglasses and will protect the scientists’ eyes from getting splattered on or affected by any liquid or gas that may be emitted by the experiment or chemicals being worked with. They save them also from any shrapnel that might fly should the glassware in the laboratory begins to break.
To achieve fun and safe science experiments, make sure they read experiment instructions or articles. That helps students to prepare themselves for the activity. It also helps in setting up their laboratory stations, and get their materials all ready for the experiment. If they feel difficult to comprehend the instruction, you should help them. As long as one scientist completely focuses on their experiment, it’s bound to be safer.

Remember that safety is the number one priority. It is the best way to get fun and safe science experiments. While many kids enjoy exploding experiments or other big reactions, parents should always make sure that their children are safe first and then learning and discovering second.
